House Tips
-
Air Conditioning & Heating
All five bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating for your comfort.
To help conserve energy, we kindly ask that you:
Turn off the air conditioning or heating when leaving the property and upon check-out.
Keep bedroom doors closed when using the air conditioning or heating, particularly if windows or external doors are open elsewhere in the property.
Alternatively, switch off the air conditioning or heating if you prefer to leave the bedroom door open while other areas of the property are open to the outdoors.
Thank you for helping us use energy responsibly while enjoying a comfortable stay!
-
External Rubbish Bins
We please ask that bins are placed curbside Wednesday afternoon for early Thursday morning collection - bins are located behind the concrete wall at the top of the driveway next to the road.
-
Dining Table
We also request that placemats be used at all times on the antique dining table and that only a dry cloth be used to wipe the table, to protect its delicate finish.
-
Key Collection & Property Access
As you enter the driveway, you will see a concrete block wall. A lockbox is located at the end of this wall.
Inside the lockbox, you will find:
Front door key – Provides access to the main residence.
Gate remote – Operates the electric entrance gates and also opens the garage door, allowing convenient, covered internal access to the property.
During Your Stay
We recommend leaving the front door key in the lockbox when heading out. This helps prevent keys from being lost and allows guests in your group to come and go independently without needing to share or coordinate keys.
Upon Check-Out
Please ensure both the front door key and gate remote are returned to the lockbox upon your departure.
Thank you for helping us keep the property secure!

Appliances
The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooktop. If the gas stops working, the gas bottle may need to be switched over. The gas bottles are located outside the laundry door.
If the gas runs out:
Check the gas bottles outside the laundry.
If you are familiar with the changeover system, switch the supply to the spare gas bottle.
Check that the cooktop is working again.
Important: Please let us know if you switch over the gas bottles so we can arrange a refill before the next guests arrive.
If you are unsure how to switch the gas supply, please contact us for assistance. Do not disconnect or replace the gas bottles yourself.

To ensure the dryer operates efficiently:

Ecosmart Fire Fire Table – Operating Instructions
The fire table operates using e-NRG bioethanol fuel and does not require gas, electricity or firewood.
For your safety, please follow these instructions carefully.
1. Before Lighting
Ensure the fire table is completely cool and the flame is fully extinguished.
Check that the burner opening is clear of decorative stones and debris.
Keep cushions, clothing and other flammable materials at least 1.5 metres away from the flame.
Ensure the manufacturer's lighting rod, lighter and burner lid are available.
Do not operate the fire table during strong winds.
2. Adding Bioethanol Fuel
Only use approved e-NRG bioethanol fuel.
Ensure the fire is completely extinguished and the burner has been cool for at least 60 minutes.
Use the lighting rod to remove the circular stainless-steel burner lid.
Using the manufacturer's approved safety filling nozzle and fuel container, carefully fill the burner through its designated filling point.
Never exceed the maximum fuel level indicated inside the burner.
Remove the fuel container and store it safely away from the fire table.
Wipe up any spills immediately and ensure the area is completely dry before lighting.
⚠️ NEVER add fuel while the fire is burning or the burner is hot. This can cause a dangerous flare-up and serious burns.
3. Lighting the Fire
Ensure the circular burner lid has been removed.
Dip the tip of the manufacturer's lighting rod into the bioethanol fuel.
Remove the rod carefully and ignite its tip using the supplied lighter.
Carefully lower the lit tip of the rod into the burner opening to ignite the fuel.
Withdraw the lighting rod and allow any remaining flame on the rod to extinguish safely.
The flame may initially appear small but will gradually increase as the burner warms up.
Important: Keep your face and body away from the burner opening when lighting.
4. Extinguishing the Fire
Locate the circular stainless-steel burner lid.
Using the hook on the manufacturer's lighting rod, carefully place the lid over the burner opening.
Ensure the burner opening is completely covered to extinguish the flame.
Allow the fire table to cool completely before touching the burner or replacing any protective cover.
⚠️ Never use water to extinguish the flame.
5. Important Safety Information
Never leave the fire unattended while burning.
Children and pets must be supervised and kept away from the fire table.
Never add bioethanol fuel to an existing flame.
Always allow at least 60 minutes of cooling before refilling.
Never use petrol, methylated spirits or other fuels.
Do not move the table while the fire is operating.
Do not place drinks, food or other items near the burner opening.
The decorative stones become extremely hot during use.
Do not use the fire table for cooking or heating food.
Ensure the flame is fully extinguished before going inside or leaving the property.
Never operate the fire table if the required lighting or extinguishing equipment is missing.
